The Draco tera matrix switch sets new standards in DVI/KVM switching.
With its 288, 160, 80 or 48 ports the Draco tera offers sufficient resources, even for extra complex applications. Thanks to the intelligent use of the latest technology, the Draco tera is leading in its class regarding functionality and usability, too.
Thus the Draco tera is equipped with the unique Flex-Port-Technology, for example. This technology offers a totally flexible configuration of the ports as an input or output port. As a result the port can be used complety free as a CPU port (connection to a computer) or as a CON port (connection to a console) and it can be switched according to the requirements. Thanks to the high flexibility it can be guaranteed that the Draco tera is suitable for every conceivable situation. You can switch 200 CPUs to 88 consoles, 240 CPUs to 48 consoles or even 144 DVI sources to 144 monitors, for example. Any conceivable combination is possible that does not exceed the maximum amount of available ports.
Other switch solutions that are available on the market can only be switched symmetrically (e.g. thus a 160 port switch has 80 inputs and 80 outputs). The Draco tera does not waste valuable ports.
The operation of the connectable extenders is also very easy. As soon as a Draco extender is connected, it registers at the Draco tera with a clearly defined identification number (ID). These devices are assigned to a CPU or a console and stored permanently in the switch. From this point it does not matter to which port of the switch the respective device is connected to. The switching operations of the Draco tera are even done correctly if the connection cables are swapped.
The definition of CPUs and consoles was made significantly easier, too. Now it is possible to set a CPU with three DVI sources and two USB 2.0 connections or a Dual-Head system with one USB 2.0 connection. If you do a switching operation of such a combined system, all devices will be switched correctly and at the same time.
Of course, the Draco tera also offers the well known advantages of the Draco major like Instant Switching (delayless switching between CPUs). By contrast to IP based solutions that have switching times of up to 10-15 seconds, the Draco tera switches within milliseconds. The Draco tera further offers the Mix and Match functionality, too. This means a various mixture of Cat X and fiber modules (I/O) in the switch. And that is not all, it is also possible to transmit signals that go into the switch from a Cat X device to a fiber port. The signals are always transmitted appropriately.
Instant switching
Flex-Port-Technology - all I/O ports can be configured as input or output, e.g. from 1:287 to 287:1 or 1:160 to 160:1 (CPUs : Consoles)
Modular and scalable system up to 288 ports
I/O boards available for Cat X, single-mode or for free configuration
Mix and Match: Mixed operation of Cat X and fiber
Connectors (DVI-D, DVI-I, USB-HID, USB 2.0, RS232, analog and digital audio) depending on CPU/CON Unit used
Power supply by built-in power supply units – third power supply unit as an option for a higher reliability
